6 Smart Tips for First Time Trekkers


Are you planning to go outside for trekking with your friends? It’s your first ever trek and you are excited about it. Come on, get up from the seat, its time collect the essential things for packing. Here we are providing you with the list that will be helpful for you:

1. Dry Sack – You don’t want anything you are carrying to get wet in rain or snow. So, prepare for the worst in advance, particularly if you are carrying gear, which should remain dry. Dry sack bags are the one you should carry while trekking. If you are not having one, then don’t forget to take rain cover for the bag with you.

2. Sun Protection Kit – It will be quite difficult for you to trek without sun protection kit. The kit includes sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, caps, sun-protection clothes. Not doing this can result in snow blindness, skin tanning etc.  

3. Fire Starters – You never know which emergency will arrive in no time. To tackle such a situation, you should carry reliable supplies with you, which will start and maintain a fire. You can carry butane lighter, but matches are also a good option provided that they are stored in a waterproof container.

4. Water – The most crucial thing to carry for your trekking is water. You should carry two water bottles of 1 Liter minimum for each person. Choosing bottled mineral water brands in UAE, for instance, is an excellent option for this purpose.

5. Pack Extra Clothes – You can’t predict the condition of the atmosphere as it may abruptly rain, become windy, and chilly all without a warning. So, you should carry extra clothes with you along with some warm clothes. Some of the warm clothes you may need are insulated or wind jackets, waterproof and windproof with full-length zipper pants.

6. Walking Sticks – You will need walking sticks especially while downhill section. In case, you forget to take walking with you then, take two tree branches or limbs and use them as walking sticks.
Also carry hand sanitizer, toilet paper, silicon earplugs, medicines, torch and all that you think is important for you. Also, don’t overpack, you not going to shift there permanently.
